Katheryn Winnick
Canadian actress, director and producer Katheryn Winnick starred in the highly acclaimed and Emmy award-winning television series Vikings produced by MGM as well as The History Channel. The episode that Winnick starred in was directed in 2020, along with her role as the lead in the series Vikings. Entertainment Weekly stated that her character was "Lagertha may be the most intriguing feminist character on screen." Katheryn has been awarded numerous awards due to her role as the fierce shieldmaiden. These include the Women's Image Network Award for the Top Actress of a TV Drama Series for the year 2018, the Critic's Choice Award as the Best Supporting Actress and the Canadian Screen Award for the best performance by the lead drama Actress for 2014. She also won as well as the Women's Image Network Award for the Best Actress in a Drama Series for the years 2015 and 2016 along with the Golden Maple Award for the Best Actress in a TV Series. In addition to these prestigious award nominations Katheryn won the Serendipity film's Excellence Award at the Banff World Media Festival in 2015. Additionally to these prestigious nominations, Katheryn received the Serendipity Film's Award for Excellence at the Banff International Media Festival, in 2015.
